This week on social media, it was apparently “Say Hi Day” (who thinks of these things??) Anyway, I took it as a chance to reintroduce myself using 5 random but important facts everyone should know before working with me.

Now while that was super fun, it also got me thinking—I need to talk about myself more on here as well.

(Narcissistic, much? I know. But this is my website and I made a promise to post whatever I felt like. And right now I’m in my Follicular Phase so I’m going to make use of all that energy and positivity.)

That was probably already too much info about me for some of you, but there’s more!

I’ve already introduced myself in the ‘Meet Your Editor’ section over on the editing page, so here I want to talk about another side of me.

The Writer Side.

You see, the fact that I’ve had dreams of being a writer since I was a little girl means I have a gentle approach with all my writers.

I know what it’s like to practice your autograph on a notebook.

I’ve stayed up late jotting down ideas for a book that seems like an impossible reality.

I’ve felt the fear as I contemplate letting anyone other than my best friend read my work (and even then I censor it like crazy before sending it to her).

The point is, I know your thoughts, feelings, hopes, dreams, and fears.

Because I have the exact same ones.

I understand the struggles and I yearn for the successes of each and every single writer I work with.

And that’s what makes my work so special and something I enjoy waking up to.

Sure, it means I’m personally invested in each project, but that just makes me cheer louder!
